  • What is HOM Wellness Getaways all about?
    HOM is dedicated to integrating wellness into every aspect of daily life, offering a complete nervous system reset. Our getaway features a variety of experts and practices designed to promote rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Even the music—ranging from serene sound baths to vintage downtempo DJs—enhances the calming atmosphere.   • What is included with my purchase?
    HOM Wellness Getaways at Palmaïa is an all-inclusive experience. Here’s what’s included in your booking: - Full access to festival activities and venues from November 3rd to 8th 2025 - Luxurious accommodations in a suite at Palmaïa for the dates selected at booking (additional nights may be added). - Daily meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals are plant-based, with optional ocean- or land-based proteins available upon request. Alcoholic beverages are included. - Concierge service through the resort's Nomadic Guides. - Resort amenities, including: - Eolo Beach Club & Premium Bar - Atlas Club Lounge - Plantissa Health Café & Juice Bar - Premium Domestic & International Beverages - Kids Center with Waldorf-inspired activities - Jungle Gym & Fitness Center - Pool & Beachside Service - Bike Sharing Service - Stand-Up Paddle Boards - Fiber-Optic Wi-Fi - Valet Parking *Note*: Airfare and ground transportation are not included. The Atlantis Spa offers additional services for purchase, some of which are available for pre-booking.
  • Can I bring my kids?
    Absolutely! Palmaïa provides complimentary Waldorf-inspired daycare for children aged 3 and up. - Family packages are available in rooms with bunk beds, accommodating two adults and one to three children. - Children under 12 can attend classes, talks, and events without a ticket. Their special rate is $169 per night, including meals and lodging. - Teens aged 13+ require an adult ticket for event access. If you’re traveling solo with children, please contact us directly for arrangements.
  • Do I need a visa to visit Mexico?
    You will need a passport, but you do not need a visa if you're from the United States, Canada, or most European countries. If you are from elsewhere, please check this list of countries which do not require a visa to enter Mexico.
  • I have food allergies. Will the resort be able to accommodate me?
    Absolutely! Please inform the resort of your dietary restrictions in advance, and they will ensure your needs are accommodated.
  • How much does this retreat cost?
    The retreat cost is divided into two parts: 1. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $625 CAD ($500 CAD for GLOW Members) 2. Accommodations: Most rooms start at $550 USD per night per person, including taxes. Approximate total cost: - $625 CAD or $500 CAD (deposit - deposit amount dependant on GLOW Membership) - $2,750 USD (5-night stay based on standard room rates) Please note: The retreat cost does not include round-trip flights or transportation to and from the resort.
  • How do I book?
    Visit our Events Page to make a non-refundable deposit of $500 CAD. Once your deposit is confirmed, you'll receive an email with important details, including a Google form with instructions on booking your accommodations. For further assistance, feel free to contact us.
  • What should I do before departing for Palmaïa?
    1. Make your dinner reservations. (Stay tuned for an email from HŌM on how to do this) 2. Reserve transportation to/from Cancun airport by contacting the resort. (Stay tuned for an email from HŌM on how to do this) 3. Pack accordingly for wellness activities and the tropical climate. We look forward to seeing you!
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    Here are some things it might make sense to bring: -Your passport. -A good sun hat -Flip flops and a pair of sneakers (for walks) -Bathing suit -Your best eco-friendly sunscreen -Your fave insect repellant. We'll have copal burning at outdoor venues, but bring some if you're -particularly delicious to insects. -A sun protection shirt -A credit card. You may not even need it, but the resort does take a $500 hold for incidentals on arrival. Some cash for tips, if you're so inclined. US dollars or CAD are welcome. There is an ATM that dispenses dollars and pesos next door at the Sandos resort. -Your positivity and energy!
  • Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
    All supplies, including mats, blocks, bolsters, and other class necessities, will be provided. If you’d like a towel for personal use, please bring your own.
  • Which airport should I Fly into?
    Cancun airport is your best and closest option. The resort is a 45 minute drive from the airport.
  • Do we need to pay the visitor tax at the airport?
    No, the visitor tax is not required.
  • How can I arrange my transportation from the airport to the resort?
    For logistics reasons we won’t be able to take care of that part of your trip, we will help you find the right option for you and your budget. A private taxi shuttle is about $120USD each way. It will be our pleasure to help you coordinate with other women coming to the retreat.
  • Should we tip the shuttle driver?
    Tipping the shuttle driver is recommended, with a suggested amount of $10–$20.
  • Will I need Mexican Pesos during my trip?
    You won't need any cash at Palmaïa as the resort is all-inclusive unless you choose to tip or for spa treatments, and those will be charged to your booking credit card. If you book your ground transport through the resort, that will be charged to your card as well.
  • Do I need to bring cash for tips?
    Tipping (from your shuttle driver to the staff who support your experience at Palmaia) is not required but always appreciated.
  • What time is check-in and checkout?
    Check-in for HOM X Palmaïa is at 3 pm on Nov 3rd , but if you arrive early, you can drop your bags and enjoy the resort until your room is ready. Checkout is noon on Nov 8th. The resort will hold your bags until you are ready to depart for the airport. To accommodate various flights, most programming for the event will end by midday on Saturday.
  • How can I extend my stay at Palmaïa?
    No problem! Just email us at homwellnessstudio@gmail.com and we will inform you on how to extend your stay.
  • How many classes can I attend each day?
    You can attend as many classes as you like! Just make sure to leave time for meals, relaxation, and enjoying the beach.
  • How do I book spa services?
    Spa services are available for an additional fee, but as a HOM retreat attendee, you receive 20% off! To book your services, email **atlantis@thehouseofaia.com** in advance to secure your preferred day, time, and service, and to ensure your discount is applied.
  • How do I request assistance during my stay?
    Upon arrival, each guest is assigned a Nomadic Guide who can assist you with dinner reservations, spa bookings, and more via WhatsApp chat.
  • What time is check-in and checkout?
    - Check-in: 3 PM on Monday November 3rd 2025 . Early arrivals can drop their bags and enjoy the resort until their room is ready. - Checkout: 12 PM on Saturday November 8th 2025 . The resort can hold your luggage after checkout if needed. Programming will conclude by midday on Saturday to accommodate various departure times.
  • ​​Do I need anything to check in?
    Once you arrive at the resort, you'll check in at the resort reception. We already have your name and information, so all you'll need to do is present your passport to hotel staff and you'll be all set. To be safe, please make sure you have your confirmation number (7 letters, like EAX-RYBG) from your online booking handy as well. The resort will take a $500 hold on your credit card to cover purchases of spa services and other incidentals while at the resort. This hold will be released at the end of your stay, less any purchases made.
  • What if I arrive late on check in day? Can I still get food?
    Palmaïa is an all-inclusive resort offering 24/7 room service. Whether it’s a late-night snack or an early breakfast, you can order at your convenience.
  • What if I checked in late and didn’t receive my welcome package?
    No worries! A member of the HOM team will ensure your welcome package is set aside and delivered to your room.
  • What should I do if my bags are lost and I need essentials?
    Message your Nomadic Guide for basic toiletries like a toothbrush or toothpaste. For other items, the neighboring resort, Sandos Playacar, has a store stocked with essentials such as hair gel, clothing, bathing suits, and snacks. Your guide can arrange transportation to the shop, which is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
  • Is there WiFi?
    Yes. It's free and it's everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Look for the network "Palmaia" on your phone or computer. How do I connect to Wi-Fi? Connect to the resort’s network: **palmaia** (no password required).
  • Is there a concierge if I need anything while at the resort?
    HOM will have staff throughout the event, who you can identify by their t-shirts. In addition, Palmaia will assign a Nomadic Guide to each guest, who can answer questions about the resort, recommend activities, and generally help out with any questions. The guides generally communicate via WhatsApp, so please download the app to your phone if you don't have it already. We will also provide printouts of the event map and the full schedule for each day.
  • What will a typical day at Palmaïa be like?
    A sample day at HOM Wellness Getaways may look like this: - Wake up to the sounds of the surf and jungle. - Enjoy a plant-based breakfast with coffee or tea before your morning activities. - Participate in wellness sessions such as yoga, pranayama, meditation, or beach walks. - Take a midday break to relax by the pool, explore the beach, or indulge in treatments at the Atlantis Spa. - Afternoon activities include inspiring talks, or light movement sessions. - Evenings feature communal dining or live music under the stars. Each day offers flexibility—follow a pre-planned schedule or let your intuition guide you. Day 1 - Travel Day -Land / Collect your luggage -Shuttle to Resort -Check In -Unpack & Shower -Explore Resort -Dinner -Attend Welcome gathering at the beach bar 'Eolo' Day 2 / Day 3 / Day 4 -Full day of programming -Beach relaxation -Yummy Food Day 5 - Travel Day - Pack & Check Out - Programming - Shuttle to Airport - Flight Home!
  • How will I know where my classes are located?
    A detailed itinerary with class times and locations will be provided to you both in print and via email before your arrival. There will also be signage around the resort.
  • How can I find class locations on the resort?
    You can refer to the resort map here: Palmaïa Resort Map. The map includes all class locations and resort amenities.
  • What happens if I'm late for a class?
    With so many classes scheduled back to back, we really try to keep our classes on time. We ask for your help and consideration. At the class start time, after admitting registered guests, we will admit drop-ins, space allowing. If you arrive after the class starts, but within five minutes of the start time, you will be admitted if there's space. After 5 minutes, admission is at the discretion of the venue manager. We ask for your understanding as we protect the practice experience for your fellow guests.
  • What should I do if I lose an item at the resort?
    Contact your Nomadic Guide, who will notify the front desk and security team to assist in locating your item.
  • Can I leave the resort if I want to sightsee?
    Sure, no problem — you can come and go as you please. The hotel reception can call taxis for you if you'd like to explore Playa or check out Tulum up the road.
  • How can I arrange a shopping trip into town?
    Your Nomadic Guide can assist you with arranging a shopping excursion.
  • Is merchandise available for purchase?
    Unfortunately, branded merchandise is not available. However, the resort boutique offers a selection of non-branded items for purchase.
  • Is there an ATM on the property?
    Yes, there is an ATM on-site that dispenses USD.
  • How do I order room service?
    Simply dial “10” on the phone in your suite to place your order.
  • Where can I find restaurant menus?

  • Can I schedule additional services at the Atlantis Spa?
    Yes, definitely! If you purchased spa services through the resort with our special discount, just confirm your appointment time with the spa by emailing atlantis@thehouseofaia.com. If you're interested in purchasing additional services, email the spa at your convenience.
  • Should we tip?
    Tipping is appreciated and can be done at the end of your trip. A typical recommendation is 20%, but it’s entirely up to you.
  • How does departure work on Saturday November 8th?
    Checkout is at noon, but the hotel will consider late checkout requests if the room is available. Yes, you’re welcome to enjoy the resort amenities, including dining, on your last day. There is no fee to drop your bags at noon and stay on-site until 5 PM. After 5 PM, a fee will apply to cover food and beverages.
